Terms of use
Written for a parent to read. These are the terms for the Bennett Online Classroom at bennetttestprep.com and for the practice diagnostic anyone can take without an account.
Version 2, in effect since September 30, 2026.
What changed from version 1: the free week section now says it opens two topics and that cancelling during it charges nothing, the pause section says a pause is for a paid subscription, and the Charge now line no longer mentions tax.
1. What this is, and who runs it
The Bennett Online Classroom is a self-paced ACT English course. It is run by Bennett Test Prep, Andrew Bennett’s tutoring practice in Cornelius, North Carolina.
These terms cover the Online Classroom, the free practice diagnostic, and this website. Using any of them means you agree to what is written here. If you do not agree, please do not use them.
2. Accounts
A parent or guardian creates the account and owns it. You add a student profile for each student you sign up, and the Online Classroom is for students 13 and older.
The family’s information is yours, and you are the person we take instructions about it from. Keep the passwords private, and write to bennetttestprep@gmail.com if you think somebody else has got into the account. What happens under your sign-in and your students’ sign-ins is your responsibility.
3. The subscription
The price you see at checkout is the price your card is charged. We work the price out on our side before you pay, and it does not change afterwards. Sales tax is added where it applies.
- $79 a month is the standard price for one student.
- $59 a month is the founding price. The first 50 families pay it, locked in for as long as you stay subscribed.
- $39 a month is the price for a second student in the same family. If the student on the higher price cancels, the remaining student moves up to the price the cancelled one was paying, and we email you before the renewal that charges it.
The free week
A new subscription starts with a free week. Your student has two assigned topics from the first day, and finishing both unlocks the rest of the course early. Finishing early never moves the charge date.
Your card is charged on day 7, and we email you 72 hours before that happens. If you would rather start paying sooner, the subscription screen carries a Charge now button that charges the price that day. A second student added to a family that already pays starts at the sibling price with no free week.
4. Cancelling and pausing
You can cancel at any time from your dashboard. Cancelling stops the next charge, and your student keeps full access through the end of the month you already paid for. We do not refund part of a month.
Cancelling during the free week means nothing is charged, and your student keeps the two trial topics until the week ends.
Once a subscription is paid, you can pause instead of leaving. A pause runs 30 days and then billing starts again on its own, and you can resume earlier whenever you want. One pause runs at a time.
5. Beta codes
Some families start with a code from Andrew rather than with a card. A code needs no card and it opens the whole course.
We can revoke a code, and if we do, the work your student has already done stays in their account. A student who was in the beta and subscribes later gets the founding price.
6. Using the Online Classroom fairly
An account is for one family. A student can be signed in on three devices at a time, and signing in on a fourth signs out the oldest one.
The lessons, questions, explanations and practice tests are licensed to your family to use here. They are not yours to copy, record, share, sell or republish, and an account being used to collect the content rather than to study it is one we will close.
7. What the scores mean
Mastery, scores and practice-test results here are measurements of the practice your student has done. They are not a prediction of an ACT score, and nothing here promises a particular result on a real test. We would rather say that plainly than leave you to find it in a footnote.
8. Your data
What we collect, who sees it, and how to have it removed are all in the privacy policy. Two things belong here as well.
- You can ask us to delete the account at any time by writing to bennetttestprep@gmail.com from the address on it. If a subscription is still running we cancel it first, so nothing is charged to a card for an account that no longer exists.
- We keep the record of what you signed up to for three years. The federal rule about online subscriptions asks us to be able to show what you were told, and that record is how we can.
9. How we tell you when these change
When these terms change we post the new version on this page and update the version and the date at the top. If the change matters to what you pay or what you get, we say what changed right here rather than leaving you to compare two versions.
Carrying on with the Online Classroom after a change means the new version applies.
10. A word about the test itself
ACT® is a registered trademark of ACT, Inc., which is not affiliated with and does not endorse this product. We prepare students for the test. We do not write it, score it, or speak for the people who do.
11. Getting in touch
Questions about any of this go to bennetttestprep@gmail.com. A person reads it.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the State of North Carolina, and any dispute about them belongs in the state or federal courts of North Carolina.
None of that takes away a right you have under the consumer protection law of the state you live in.
